HOW TO IDENTIFY A MOWER BELT
- OEM number: Check printed or molded numbers on the old belt first.
- Top width: Measure across the widest top surface.
- Length: Identify whether the published dimension is outside, inside or effective length.
- Profile: Confirm V-belt, wrapped belt, cogged belt or other type.
- Application: Deck and drive belts may have different construction even when dimensions are similar.
COMMON FITMENT MISTAKES
- Matching only by nominal belt length
- Ignoring belt width or profile
- Using a general-purpose belt in a mower-specific application
